Life is one long, grand and amazing journey. The first major event in a young child’s life must surely be their first steps.
Their first steps on the journey of a lifetime.
What we would like to achieve with this curriculum, is to imprint in all children the idea that life is an adventurous and all important journey and that they must prepare them-selves really well for this lifetime event.
The better you prepare for a journey, the more enjoyable and more successful the experience.
In the Bible reference is often made to the ‘way’: to choose the right way, to always keep our eyes on Jesus, no matter what we encounter on our journey through life.
Of course, every child will face many challenges and they may even encounter storms along the way. Our children must be equipped even for these unforeseen events.
The better we plan our journey, the safer and more enjoyable it will be. This is what every parent wishes for his or her child, and what every child wants to achieve in life.
Our dear Father has planned a calling and ultimate destination for every child, and has given every child the appropriate gifts and talents to reach that destination. This is why every child must discover his or her God-given gifts and talents.
Having recognised all the blessings available to them in the Bible and having packed these in their travel bags, everyone will arrive at their destination – happy and purposeful.
What is even more amazing is that the Father has also endowed everychild with a particular passion in their hearts which suits their gifts, talents and personalities perfectly. To discover every child’s unique passion is equivalent to having a GPS in your heart; a GPS that stays on course and ensures that we do not take the wrong direction on our life’s journey.
If we know what our passion is, we cannot lose our way!
In summary: a journey is a wonderful metaphor to illustrate and teach this curriculum’s spiritual values and truths.
Whether we have to pack for a picnic, a beach holiday or a weekend with the family, we know what we have to take along and what we will need.
The journey your child is embarking on today, is the most important journey of his or her life. Let’s work together to make sure that everything and more than they will ever need on this life’s journey, is packed into their travel-bag.
We wish you many blessings on your joint adventure. May our Father in Heaven walk the road with us with joy and jubilation.
God’s blessings and good luck,
